This cute little fundraising idea comes courtesy of Cranbourne Regional Uniting Church who are sending a group to ncyc11.

Their mascot is QUINCY C BEAR (his name is made from NCYC and Q for Queensland).

Group Coordinator Sharon Start says “I will have him at church every Sunday and I am hoping that the members of our congregation (Cranbourne Regional Uniting Church) will donate gold coins on a regular basis. We will have other fundraising events along the way but ‘Gold Coins for the Gold Coast’ will be ongoing.”

What a great idea! If 50 people from the congregation give a gold coin each week, it won’t take long for Cranbourne Regional UC to reach their targets.
