NCYC

FAQs

What is the age range for the event and what if I am am outside of that age range?

ncyc11 is for people aged 16-25. If you’re over 25 you may want to be an adult volunteer – enjoy the conference and lend a hand!
If you’re younger but going into grade 11 in 2011 we are happy to talk to you and your Synod about you coming. Any younger and you’ll have to get your parents working at ncyc11 all week in order to get in!

I want to help out with ncyc11 in a leadership capacity, how do I get involved?

We’d love to have your help–there’s plenty of different jobs, big and small, that you can do. Register as an adult volunteer and contact us at the ncyc11 office so we can discuss how you want to be involved. There is an expectation that adult volunteers will work a minimum of four hours each day.

I am organising group of people to come to NCYC can we get accommodation in the same location?

Absolutely! You can choose to all have the same accommodation preference.

If your group has your own transport available during the week of convention there’s another option we can offer you. Contact us for details: info@ncyc11.com.au.

Will the girls and boys be in separate accommodation?

Absolutely… It actually is a much more pleasant week on all counts to keep the smells separated… Truthfully it makes sense to sleep in separate rooms for the week, even simply for ease of changing etc.

I have ideas or feedback to make about the event, how do I pass that on?

Excellent! Send an email to info@ncyc11.com.au or call us at the ncyc11 office.

I don’t know anyone going to the event—what do I do?

We look forward to meeting you! There will be lots of opportunities to meet new people and make lasting friendships. Small groups will help you get to know people well and there will be heaps of opportunities in communities when you can do activities with people who have similar interests.

Would all adult volunteers require a working with children card?

Yes, all adult volunteers require a current working with children card (or equivalent) for the state you’re from.

How much does it cost for an adult volunteer?

Adult volunteers have a fixed standard rate for the program right up until ncyc11 rego’s close. We value you and appreciate you offering to help out across the week of convention. An adult volunteer only pays $150 which covers their involvement in the program and meals for each day. You can then choose your favourite accommodation option to add on. Just go to the Registration page on this website to get started.
